From April 22-26, Minnetonka Schools is celebrating Administrative Office Professionals Appreciation Week. We invite our community to join us in thanking our administrative office professionals for the many ways, big and small, that they contribute to creating welcoming, encouraging and supportive environments in our schools.
Alexis Beckman is the Head Office Assistant at Deephaven Elementary. She has worked in the district for ten years, first with Minnetonka Community Ed and now with Deephaven since 2021.
"I love meeting families and watching their students grow over the years. Deephaven has an amazing staff team that I feel very lucky to work with!" shared Beckman. "I come to work every day looking forward to being here. I have been fortunate enough to have some great opportunities in the district and have learned so much."
Jackie Gleeman is an Office Assistant at Minnetonka High School, where she has supported the school's assistant principals for 24 years. Because of her history in the district, she brings a wide knowledge base to her role, and staff often stop by with questions because "you always know the answer!"
Jackie's favorite part of her job is planning the Student Recognition Ceremonies the high school hosts throughout the course of the year.
"This program is designed for students who do things amazing things off the transcript, such as having a positive attitude and helping peers in class," shared Gleeman. "It is so rewarding when you hear from parents how this honor impacted their student, but also to see the students' faces light up when they hear from a staff member as to why they are being recognized. It just brings me so much joy!"
Thank you to each of our Administrative Office Professionals for everything you do for our students, families and staff! We appreciate you!
